Chorley 5 v Wigan Robin Park 0 Lancs Cup semi final




The magpies booked their place in the final of the Lancashire Co-operative Challenge trophy as they cruised past North West Counties first division title contenders Wigan Robin Park 5-0 at the County Ground, Leyland.

12 month on from being knocked out at this stage by AFC Fylde. Garry’s men who looking to make up for the disappointment a strong line up was announced which included Foster, Denham, Vermgilio, Teague and Ince amongst others.

Goals came from Adam Roscoe, Steve Foster, Matt Wawlyn double and John Cunliffe sealed the magpies spot at the Reebox.

But credit must be given to Wigan RP, reading on twitter it was a close game in the first half and the score line wasn’t as easy as it looks.

The magpies will play the winner of either Kendal Town or Radcliffe Borough on the 12th March at the Reebok Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers.
